About this tool
Tilt-Shift / Miniature Effect keeps a band — or an oval — of your photo sharp and blends a heavy blur into everything outside it, which is how a real tilt-shift lens makes a landscape look like a scale model. The blur is a three-pass box blur applied perpendicular to your band angle, and the transition is a smoothstep ramp driven by the falloff slider. Images are capped at 1200px on the long edge so the tab stays responsive, and every pixel is processed in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
