About this tool

The player generates the tone with the Web Audio API and schedules every dot, dash and gap from the PARIS standard: at 18 WPM a dot lasts 66 ms, a dash three times that, with gaps of one, three and seven units. Farnsworth spacing keeps the characters fast while stretching the gaps, which is how beginners learn to copy real Morse instead of counting symbols.

Practice mode plays a random character so you can train your ear, and the transmission view highlights the symbol being sent. Everything is generated in your browser — no audio is recorded or uploaded.
