About this free Minecraft pixel art generator

This free Minecraft pixel art generator converts any image into a buildable block plan — entirely in your browser. No account, no watermark, and no server upload. Upload a photo, logo, or sprite, then choose your output size: presets from 16 up to 512 blocks on the longest side, or type any width and height between 4 and 512. Turn on Keep input image aspect ratio and the two dimensions stay locked to your image's shape, so faces and logos don't come out squashed. Each pixel is mapped to the closest matching Minecraft block colour using Euclidean distance in RGB space.

Use the zoom slider to inspect the grid, hover any cell for the block name, and use the materials list as a shopping list for survival. When you're ready to place the build, download a .schem file for WorldEdit / FAWE, a .litematic for Litematica, or a PNG plan for manual building.

The palette covers 81 blocks across Concrete, Wool, Terracotta, and natural materials — giving you broad colour coverage for accurate results. Everything stays on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Minecraft pixel art generator free?

Yes — completely free, no signup, no watermark, and no usage limit. Everything runs in your browser so your image never leaves your device.

Can I download a schematic for WorldEdit or Litematica?

Yes. After generating your art, download a .schem file for WorldEdit / FAWE paste, or a .litematic file for the Litematica hologram builder. You can also download a PNG build plan.

Which Minecraft blocks does the tool use for colour matching?

The palette covers over 80 blocks across Concrete, Wool, Terracotta, and natural materials like sand and stone. Concrete blocks are particularly useful because their colours are consistent and vibrant — ideal for pixel art.

What is the maximum output size I can generate?

Preset sizes range from 16×16 up to 128×128 blocks. You can also enter a custom width and height. Very large outputs (200+ blocks) will require a significant amount of materials in-game.

How accurate is the block colour matching?

The tool uses Euclidean distance in RGB space to find the closest matching block for each pixel. The result is a close approximation — the limited palette means very subtle gradients and near-identical shades may map to the same block, but the overall image is highly recognisable.
