About this tool

A kaleidoscope works by cutting one narrow slice of a scene and reflecting it around a circle; three mirrors give six visible wedges, and more mirrors give the fine, dense symmetry this tool defaults to. Pick an uploaded photo or the built-in noise pattern, then set the segment count, rotation, zoom and centre offset — the canvas redraws on every change. Your image is read with the browser's File API and never leaves your device; the PNG is generated locally.
