About this tool

A teaching clock for practising how analogue and digital time relate. Drag either hand (pointer, touch or arrow keys), snap to five-minute steps, switch between 12- and 24-hour reading, and follow the words next to the digital display — "quarter past six", "twenty-five to nine" and every other minute are spelled out properly. The quiz mode names a random time and checks how close you got.

The face is drawn as inline SVG, so PNG export is a lossless 3× raster, and the whole tool — including the quiz — runs entirely in your browser with no data leaving the page.
