About this tool

Image Inside Text cuts your photo to the shape of your own wording: the text is drawn to an offscreen mask, the picture is scaled to cover it, and a destination-in composite leaves the photo visible only inside the letters. Font, weight, per-glyph letter spacing, alignment, padding, colours, outline and drop shadow are all rendered with the Canvas 2D API, and the artwork downloads as a PNG at 2× — entirely in your browser, with nothing uploaded to a server. To keep the tab responsive, photos above roughly 4 megapixels are downscaled once on load and the output canvas is capped at 3200 pixels on its longest side.
